As we approach the long-awaited release of their debut album So Long Forever - due 4 November on the ever impressive Fiction Records - Palace have revealed a brand new single. 'Have Faith' sees the London four - Leo Wyndham (guitar, vocals), Rupert Turner (guitar), Will Dorey (bass) and Matt Hodges (drums) - blend their brilliantly atmospheric form of intelligent indie into one of their most assured outings to date: Wyndham's throaty tones, backed with typically cooling harmonies, wind away above a bouncing bass and hypnotic guitar lines with gently eurphoric results. According to the band the song, “plays with the idea of a kind of self analysis of one's emotional strength, but it's also addressed to someone else. It's that need to find a foundation of confidence and belief so that you can both grow as people - that you need to be strong for each other, and not self sabotage yourself on a daily basis. It's the everyday struggle to find strength based on a lack of faith.” There's no struggle here, we have complete faith in Palace. -G.O'B
